Role Summary
The O&M Supervisor Lead supports the Iberia Operations Team, ensuring the implementation of operational guidelines as directed by the Head of Operations and coordinated via the O&M Area Manager.
This role oversees the operations and maintenance of the client's PV and BESS power plants in Portugal, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and safety standards. The position plays a key role in maintaining plant performance and enforcing HSE protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Technical
Manage external O&M providers, ensuring maintenance is aligned with internal policies and annual plans.
Coordinate subcontractors and local inspections.
Supervise maintenance activities and equipment reports (LV, inverters, transformers, etc.).
Identify risks and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Support plant commissioning and handover phases.
Assist in technical assessments and investment planning.
Oversee remote maintenance systems and spare parts logistics.
Monitor performance and report incidents via CMMS tools.
Supervise early O&M services and manage action plans.
Financial
Support OPEX/CAPEX planning and budget execution.
Oversee insurance processes and vendor contracts.
Non-Financial
Ensure accurate reporting, compliance with local regulations, and coordination with utility providers.
Strategic / Management
Liaise with subcontractors and ensure delivery of maintenance plans.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical
Proficient in diagnostics, testing, SCADA systems, and HSE procedures (incl. LOTO).
Skilled in Microsoft Office and remote tools.
Non-Technical
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative, reliable, and adaptable under pressure.
Commercial
Understanding of contracts, specifications, and legal aspects.
Additional Details
Work Environment: Field/Home-based
Travel: Required to local sites and offices
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), availability across weekdays/weekends
Experience: O&M experience in renewables (PV/BESS), subcontractor management, remote monitoring systems
Languages: Fluent in Portuguese and English
Other: Must hold a valid driver's license and have the right to work in Portugal
