They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of electrical to lead their electrical division and drive their strategic growth.
Position Overview: As the Vice President of electrical, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for our electrical division. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical construction projects, managing a talented team, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving profitability. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing large and complex electrical construction projects and a strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a long-term growth plan for the electrical division, providing visionary leadership.
Project Oversight: Oversee all phases of electrical construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project execution and closeout.
Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Talent Development: Recruit, hire, and develop top talent within the electrical division to ensure a high-performing team.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical work meets project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure project success.
Budget Management: Manage the electrical divisions budget, ensuring projects are profitable and within financial parameters.
Collaboration: Work closely with other executives on project planning, design, and construction to ensure cohesive and successful project delivery.
Industry Expertise: Stay current with the latest electrical codes, technologies, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with electrical construction projects.
Problem Solving: Proactively address project challenges and develop effective solutions.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the division and company goals.
Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial electrical construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing large and complex electrical construction projects.
Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Superior project management skills, including documentation, cost control, procurement, scheduling, change order pricing, and negotiating.
OSHA-30 certification required.
Proficiency in MS Office and a demonstrated ability to learn new software systems.
