Technical Office Engineer - Hydropower Project

EWI Recruitment is currently supporting an international engineering consultancy with a strong global presence, known for its expertise in infrastructure, hydropower, dams, buildings, and environmental projects. With over 1,100 professionals across 30+ offices worldwide, our client is shaping the future of sustainable infrastructure.
They are now seeking an experienced Technical Office Engineer to join their site team on a major hydropower and dam project in Tajikistan. As the Design Consultant, the company provides both design and site supervision services, ensuring high standards of execution on one of the region's most critical energy developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Chief Resident Engineer (CRE)
Provide technical support to the Site Team across all project phases
Assist the Technical Office Manager with day-to-day coordination and operations
Act as a liaison between the site team and head office (HO) on technical matters
Participate in technical meetings with contractors, clients, and internal teams
Review and coordinate technical documents in collaboration with the HO team
Candidate Requirements:
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years' experience (10+ years preferred) in large-scale infrastructure or civil works projects
At least 1 year of experience working on hydroelectric projects
Previous experience on international construction sites, particularly involving complex civil works (earthworks, U/G works, E/M integration, etc.)
Strong command of English (written and spoken)
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a multicultural team environment
Fast learner with a proactive and motivated approach
Knowledge of Russian is a strong advantage
