EWI are supporting one of the most well-established, mid-sized employee-owned consulting companies in California to identify a Senior Environmental CEQA/NEPA Planner & Senior Project Manager to join their Northern California team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of complex mid-large scale projects, including infrastructure, energy, residential, commercial, and industrial developments, as well as policy evaluation and mitigation planning.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track-record working in Environmental Consulting and demonstrated technical expertise in environmental impact assessment and project management. This role involves leading CEQA/NEPA document preparation, coordinating environmental compliance efforts, mentoring junior staff and collaborating with public and private clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee CEQA/NEPA documentation for medium to large-scale projects.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, project requirements, and quality standards.
- Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget to maintain alignment with client expectations.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, public hearings, and outreach initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance on land use planning, environmental compliance, and project execution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development efforts.
- Collaborate with project teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, environmental sciences, urban planning, geography, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, with a focus on CEQA/NEPA compliance (10-15+ preferred)
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, contracts, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel within the region as needed (valid driver's license required).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $110,000-$160,000 base annually
