Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a Control Systems Commissioning Engineer to support a hydropower project in Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in the commissioning, testing, and integration of advanced control systems on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission, test, and troubleshoot SCADA, PLCs, and instrumentation for the hydropower plant.
- Validate system functionality to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational standards.
- Perform system integration testing for turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
- Work closely with project teams, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical challenges during commissioning.
- Conduct performance testing and fine-tune control systems to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, test results, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and project timelines.
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in commissioning control systems for hydropower plants or similar industrial facilities.
- Strong expertise in SCADA systems, PLC programming (Rockwell / Allen Bradley), and instrumentation calibration.
- Deep understanding of hydropower plant operations, including turbine and generator control systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues in high-pressure environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in remote or challenging site environments.
- Familiarity with network protocols for industrial control systems.
