The market leading infrastructure & energy recruiter is seeking a Safety Manager from a Transmission & Distribution Construction background to be based near the clients sites across Texas.

Opportunity

A leading T&D construction company is seeking a Substation T&D Safety Manager to oversee and implement safety and occupational health programs across transmission and distribution projects. This role involves collaborating with the Director of Safety, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations, mitigate risks, and foster a culture of safety. The Safety Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating safety initiatives for personnel, materials, equipment, and job site environments.

Job role / Description

Play a key role in building a strong safety culture by leading orientations, safety meetings, and on-site audits. Work closely with the Safety Director and project teams to develop and enforce safety policies, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Proactively identify and address hazards, provide hands-on support to crews, and integrate safety into every phase of the project. Investigate incidents, share key learnings, and drive continuous improvement to keep teams safe and projects running smoothly.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 & Subpart V with expertise in T&D systems, confined space, and excavation standards. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Experienced in managing and training teams in Transmission & Distribution construction.

Salary Package

$90000 - $120000 + competitive benefits package
