Field Services Project Manager - Hydropower (Germany & Angola)

Job Overview:

We are urgently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Project Manager for a large-scale hydropower project in Angola. This role is based in Germany but requires frequent travel to project sites in Angola. Given the critical nature of the project, our client is operating under a strict schedule and requires immediate support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and detail the Field Service concept, covering cost, schedule, HSE, quality, resources, legal/provincial regulations, and operational planning.
• Support the Site Manager and Project Manager in executing the Field Service plan, ensuring budget, quality, and timeline adherence.
• Act as a key liaison between Field Service and Engineering, actively participating in design reviews and assessing potential impacts of design changes.
• Lead handover, kickoff meetings, and site delegation with the project team.
• Oversee the completion of punch lists (PAC) and ensure project milestones are met.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and coordinate clarifications with customers.
• Identify project risks and opportunities, defining contingency plans.
• Act as a facilitator in resolving field risks and conflicts to keep the project on track.
• Provide technical support to site teams as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong technical expertise in hydropower projects, specifically turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Prior experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor on a Hydro Turbine/Generator Project is an asset.
• Fluent English is essential. Additional language skills in German, Portuguese, or Spanish are highly advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant project management tools.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites in Angola.
