EWI are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client on a mega infrastructure project.
The project is a high-profile initiative focused on advancing nuclear medicine and research through the construction of a state-of-the-art reactor. As part of this cutting-edge project, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful procurement of goods and services required to bring the project to fruition.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety and Environmental Standards:
Uphold high personal safety and environmental standards in line with company policy, ensuring a safe working environment for all.Team Collaboration:
Foster strong relationships with the Construction team and maintain effective communication with other members of the Quantity Surveying team, stakeholders, and the supply chain.Subcontractor Management:
Manage the timely assessment of subcontractor payment applications and report proposed values to Cost Control. Collaborate with Cost Control to identify and address excessive costs, leading the negotiation with subcontractors to protect our client's financial interests.Financial Defense:
Work closely with Cost Control to defend our client's financial position on each subcontract while ensuring continuity of operations.Procedural Development:
Assist in developing, improving, and promoting the use of our client's procedures to ensure efficient and effective project management.Reporting and Valuations:
Manage the timely and accurate reporting on interim and final valuations, as well as valuing and agreeing on variations, claims, and compensation events.Information Expertise:
Act as the internal expert on information related to design and construction within your functional area.Supply Chain Support:
Provide Quantity Surveying support in supply chain procurements, including managing take-offs and supplying bills of quantity.Subcontract Compliance:
Ensure subcontracts are managed in compliance with agreements and that payment application schedules with subcontractors are adhered to.Contract Guidance:
Provide interpretation and guidance on subcontract clauses for the site team, ensuring that site records are accurately maintained to substantiate subcontractor payment applications.
Requirements:
Experience:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in large-scale construction projects, ideally within the nuclear or industrial sectors.Skills:
Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex financial and contractual situations. Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.Education:
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
