EWI are looking for a Procurement Lead to join our client on a mega infrastructure project.
The project is a high-profile initiative focused on advancing nuclear medicine and research through the construction of a state-of-the-art reactor. As part of this cutting-edge project, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful procurement of goods and services required to bring the project to fruition.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy Development:
Develop, prepare, and implement the project's procurement plan and procedures, ensuring alignment with Corporate Procurement Policies and supplier synergy.Compliance & Auditability:
Ensure full compliance with Corporate Procurement policies and that all purchasing processes are auditable, maintaining transparency and integrity in all procurement activities.Records & Reporting:
Oversee the preparation, maintenance, and review of purchasing records. Produce comprehensive management reports and track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.Supplier Identification & Management:
Conduct thorough research via supply-chain networks, catalogs, trade publications, and trade shows to identify and introduce new suppliers. Engage in continuous supplier relationship management to secure favorable terms.Project Collaboration:
Liaise effectively with project teams, design/construction teams, and client representatives to ensure accurate specification of purchase needs and alignment with project requirements.Quotations & Negotiations:
Manage the process of obtaining, comparing, and analyzing quotations for services, materials, and machinery. Negotiate terms & conditions, manage risk assessments, and finalize contracts and supplier agreements.Contract Management:
Oversee all aspects of contract management, including negotiating modifications and ensuring that all agreements meet the project's scope and requirements.Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the Procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.Quality, Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all procurement activities comply with quality standards, health & safety regulations, and project-specific compliance requirements.
Requirements:
Language Skills:
Fluency in Dutch (required) and English (preferred).Experience:
Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.Skills:
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage complex procurement processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Education:
A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
