Job Summary:
The M&E Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical and electrical aspects of construction projects, ensuring that installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves close coordination with project managers, contractors, and other site engineers to ensure that all M&E activities align with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Supervision: Oversee and manage the installation of mechanical and electrical systems on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, power systems, and fire protection.
Quality Control: Ensure that all M&E works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and standards. Conduct regular inspections to maintain high-quality standards.
Coordination: Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of M&E systems with the overall construction plan. Address any conflicts or discrepancies that arise during installation.
Scheduling: Monitor and manage the M&E project schedule, ensuring that milestones are met and any delays are promptly addressed.
Health & Safety: Enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring that all M&E activities comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of M&E activities, including daily site reports, inspection records, and test certificates. Ensure that all documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the installation process, liaising with suppliers, contractors, and consultants as needed.
Cost Management: Assist in managing the budget for M&E works, ensuring that costs are controlled and any variances are reported to the project manager.
Commissioning & Testing: Supervise the commissioning and testing of M&E systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet the required performance standards.
Client Liaison: Communicate with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns related to M&E installations.
