What You'll Do:
Lead with Expertise: Drive the design and execution of civil, mechanical, and structural engineering projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your work will lay the foundation-literally-for the future of solar energy.
Innovate and Design: Prepare and analyze complex structural assessments, topographical studies, and geotechnical investigations. Transform these insights into actionable, innovative design solutions that will power tomorrow's energy needs.
Master the Tools: Use cutting-edge software like AutoCAD Civil 3D and PV design tools (e.g., PVCase, PV Design) to develop precise, impactful designs and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for large-scale solar installations.
Engage and Influence: Serve as the face of our company in critical discussions with external stakeholders, including financial institutions and EPC contractors. Your expertise will guide these conversations and shape the future of our projects.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with GC and BtM Development Engineers throughout the project lifecycle. Your expert reviews and insights will be crucial from the initial design phase all the way through to final project acquisition.
Support On-site Success: Be the go-to expert during construction and commissioning, collaborating with on-site civil consultants to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep your skills sharp and your knowledge up-to-date by staying informed on the latest trends and innovations in civil and structural engineering.
Document and Deliver: Ensure all project-specific technical deliverables are organized, accessible, and of the highest quality. Your attention to detail will ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Drive Innovation: Contribute to ongoing solar PV design optimization initiatives that reduce costs and improve performance. Explore and integrate various photovoltaic technologies, including floating systems, rooftop installations, and hybrid renewable solutions like wind and storage.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: Over 5 years working on utility-scale solar power plants. Experience in other energy sectors like Oil & Gas, Wind, or Storage is a plus. Those with extensive experience may be considered for a senior role.
On-Site Expertise: Hands-on experience with on-site work will be highly valued.
Hybrid Knowledge: Familiarity with hybrid energy solutions will set you apart.
Finance Savvy: A working understanding of energy project finance is preferred.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program in your home country or where you practice.
Skills: Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple projects under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, with additional languages (Spanish, Swedish, Polish, French, or Italian) being a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of international standards (IEC/IEEE/EN/UNE/UL) relevant to PV Solar Projects. Familiarity with GIS tools like Google Earth and proficiency in the Google or Microsoft Office suite.
