Do you want to help shape the health & safety efforts at one of Denmark's largest infrastructure client-operators?

The client develops, constructs, and operates infrastructure that connects people. In our projects, we aim for the highest levels of health & safety and work closely with our partners to ensure a safe working environment.

We are building a strong health & safety unit to support the entire organisation and create the foundation for a streamlined HSE effort across project development, large and medium-sized project execution, and operations. In short, we are moving from a "project" to a "value chain" mindset, and we need a colleague to spearhead these efforts within HSE.

Key tasks

You will work and support the Asset Management, Major Projects, Environment, and Project Development units. The tasks include:

  • Act as AMK-B in construction and O&M projects, and manage contractors' HSE performance
  • Create and update health & safety policies, targets and plans
  • Incident analysis and follow-up
  • Review and quality assurance of design and tender documents, work method statements, risk assessments, etc.
  • Conduct safety inspections
  • Contribute to the planning of works, through the PSS and other documents
  • Conduct meetings with project parties and stakeholders
  • Regular reporting to management on the state of health & safety on projects
  • Develop concepts and standards to be used
  • Track new legislation and requirements
  • Contribute to building a uniform way of handling HSE data registrations from contractors
  • Knowledge sharing between divisions to advance the knowledge of health & safety, including safety campaigns

You will be working closely with a team of dedicated colleagues to solve these tasks. The role requires experience and a steady hand, but also entrepreneurial spirit. You will be creating some of the needed tools and ways of working, as you carry out your tasks, and will be able to shape the future of health & safety.

Your profile

You have +5 years of experience within HSE from large organisations, and preferably +2 years of experience from large projects with contractors and high complexity in roles and responsibilities.

You have experience in construction, O&M, engineering, or related fields, and you are trained within HSE certifications/courses and proactive health and safety culture. Experience in offshore or rail is a plus, although not a prerequisite. You are fluent in Danish and English.

The organisation

You will be part of the Department for Social Sustainability, which, in addition to health and safety, covers working conditions and apprentices. We are eight colleagues passionate about creating positive conditions for the many people working on our projects.

You will experience an organisation which is constantly changing as the projects develop, with a challenging and diverse working day. You will be working with many different colleagues across the organisation, characterised by an informal tone and an open, international atmosphere.

We offer

Your remuneration package will be according to your qualifications and you will be offered health insurance and other staff benefits. You will work mainly from the Copenhagen office, with regular trips to Halskov.
