Contracts Manager - Utility Scale Solar - LONDON

My client is acting as EPC Contractor for one of the most prestigious Solar projects in UK. Construction is due to start and they are urgently seeking Contracts Manager to be based in head office.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute post-award contract management and administration, including:
- Oversee the negotiation and completion of a specific set of contracts related to the Construction Services.
- Detail contractual assessments to support project business case: Monitoring contractor performance in the project, to ensure quality, H&S and cost targets are met and ensuring the project is implemented in a manner consistent with the contract terms and with sound commercial and risk management principles
- Management of Supply Chain strategy for the specific area of the project.
- Manage and draft robust contract correspondence and letters
- Negotiate and resolve variation order requests and draft and execute corresponding variation orders
- Conduct/support commercial and contractual negotiations
- Conduct/support claim and dispute resolutions and contract close out.
- Support timely supplier invoice approvals/queries resolution
- Co-ordinate all contract management activities to ensure that activities are delivered to meet business requirements and priorities
- Ensure company is not exposed to unnecessary contractual or commercial risk
- Provide contractual advice, support and interpretation to projects team
- Carry out all procurement and contracting activities in compliance with company processes and procedures
Ensure compliance with company policies in relation to ethics and compliance
Key Experience:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of EPC contracts
- Proven experience in working on FIDIC (especially Yellow book 2017) and JCT contracts
- Degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering/Naval Architectural), Quantity Surveyor, Supply Chain Management, OR commercially/legal orientated qualification.
- Minimum of 8 years in similar roles (EPC specialist managing contractors are preferable)
- Experience of contract drafting and letter writing
- Experience of negotiating complex variation order requests
- Experience of working with a multi-disciplinary global team
- Experience of executing of EPC contracts
LOCATION: London (Kings Cross)
CONDITIONS
- 5 days office role/ Hybrid negotiable
- Requires frequent site visits.
- Monday to Friday, 09.000 to 17.00
SALARY: £60,000 TO £70,000 per annum
