Associate M&A and Debt Advisory - Renewable Energy
Location: Frankfurt or Munich
Client Profile: Our client, a dynamic M&A and Corporate Finance boutique, specializes in real assets. They procure equity, mezzanine, and debt for energy and infrastructure projects, real estate, and medium-sized companies, enhancing efficiency and project quality. They structure various financing options and connect clients with a vast network of institutional investors and alternative capital providers. Their expertise spans energy, infrastructure, real estate, and corporate finance, managing purchase or sale processes with finesse.
Role Overview: As an Associate in M&A and Debt Advisory, you will work directly with Directors and Partners, contributing to the development, structuring, and execution of mandates across Europe. Your focus will be on a variety of assets, including onshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the origination and execution of financing and M&A processes.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, discounted cash flow valuations, and scenario analysis.
- Create key marketing and commercial documents such as teasers, information memoranda, and reports.
- Manage projects involving multiple external parties.
- Assist in due diligence processes.
- Research, write, and proof market intelligence for marketing materials.
- Actively participate in the office life of a young, innovative company, always striving to improve service quality.
Required Skills:
- Exceptionally strong Excel modeling skills, ideally with VBA experience.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Commercial mindset with initiative and a high degree of detail orientation.
- Strong work ethic, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ideally, 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Commitment to personal growth and career development.
Desirable Skills (Not Essential):
- Sector experience in renewables, energy, and/or infrastructure.
- Proficiency in German and English preferred.
- Additional European languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Finnish, or Swedish) are advantageous.
Salary Package: All in 100,00 to 120,000 euros per annum
