As a structural engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions and designs in accordance with building standards. You will have the opportunity to join a highly skilled team in New York City and must possess strong problem-solving skills, reliable structural design and analysis abilities, and a desire to work in a collaborative environment.
The primary responsibilities for this position include providing assistance and support to the project manager/leader, producing accurate and necessary documentation, and meeting responsibilities with a high level of quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering a Master's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency with 2D and 3D software programs such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Tools, and Bluebeam.
Experience with steel, timber, concrete, glass, and masonry design.
An interest in furthering your structural engineering career and expanding technical knowledge.
Primary/Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the project manager/leader and coordinate work with team members.
Conduct structural design and analysis, and produce accurate documents as needed throughout all project phases (drawings, models, reports, calculations, etc.).
Coordinate structural design details with architectural and MEP designs.
Exhibit excellent communication skills to manage complex situations with team members and clients.
Demonstrate the ability to take initiative on various project types, make decisions, and meet project requirements with precision and a high level of quality.
