They are currently seeking a talented Naval Architect to join their team and contribute to the design and development of floating offshore wind platforms.
Description
As a Naval Architect specializing in floating offshore wind, you will play a key role in the design and engineering of floating wind platforms. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers to develop innovative solutions that maximize the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of floating wind systems.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of floating wind platforms, from concept to detailed engineering.
- Conduct hydrodynamic analyses and simulations to evaluate the performance of floating platform designs.
- Perform structural analyses to ensure the integrity and stability of floating structures in offshore environments.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate design requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support the development of technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for floating wind platforms.
- Provide technical support and expertise throughout the design and engineering process.
Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of naval architecture principles and offshore engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino) and hydrodynamic analysis tools (e.g., OrcaFlex, AQWA).
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to offshore structures and renewable energy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
