Our new EPC client is looking for a PV Engineering Manager to be based en Seville, Spain, who'll have to apply the detailed-design notions sent from the HQ on the field through all the European portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the engineering consultant responsible for the design and engineering of photovoltaic plants, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including engineering team in India offices, project managers, procurement specialists, and construction teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
· Develop detailed engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for PV systems, including layout, electrical systems, and structural components.
· Coordination with other disciplines such as Civil, SCADA and performance monitoring
· Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate project requirements, constraints, and risks.
· Collaborate with external partners, consultants, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and certifications.
· Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
· Provide technical guidance and support to resolve engineering issues and challenges encountered during project execution
· Capable/Knowhow of AutoCAD, PVsyst, Google Sketch-up,PV case, PV syst is preferred
· Engage in Request for Proposal (RFP) review, technical writing, and response coordination.
Qualifications & Skills:
· 6-12 years of relevant experience
· Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in electrical or renewable energy fields. Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus
· Should have hands on experience with Solar and electrical design
· Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
· Experience in EPC business will be an added advantage
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Should be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Technical Competencies:
· Good Basic knowledge of Electrical system Designing.
· Good Communication Skills, fluency in English and Spanish.
- PV plant equipment technical review and specification including PV modules, inverters, MV/HV equipment, cables, trackers, switchgear, transformers, cables and other MV/HV equipment etc
- PV plant design and PV array sizing and optimization
- PV equipment technical review and specifications
- Conduct and/or review calculations and design on regards with electrical design of the plant
- Review of all calculations on regards with Performance and analysis of production data.
- Managing the execution of PV plant design Layouts in AutoCAD
- Manage and coordination of external consultants to complete the internal assessments
- Grid code understanding for interconnection of Solar PV System.
