We are working with a leading international consulting firm to recruit a SCADA/EMS/DMS Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale technical assistance and infrastructure advisory projects in the energy and utilities sector. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in power system dispatching technologies and grid digitalization, looking to contribute to complex projects both in France and globally.

About the Role

As part of a multidisciplinary technical team, the successful candidate will serve as a technical expert and project manager, leading the design, supervision, and delivery of SCADA, EMS, and DMS-related assignments. The work will support digital transformation and modernization of electricity networks in emerging and developed markets.

The role involves a combination of project development, client engagement, on-site missions, and ongoing technical leadership in areas related to Smart Grids, EMS/SCADA/DMS systems, and utility modernization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical expert on SCADA/EMS and SCADA/DMS projects for transmission and distribution networks

  • Manage and execute technical assistance missions in collaboration with internal teams and international partners

  • Contribute to proposal writing, technical reporting, and stakeholder presentations

  • Provide strategic input on smart grid integration and network modernization

  • Participate in short-term missions in France and internationally as an expert or project coordinator

  • Support the development and monitoring of infrastructure projects in line with donor and utility requirements


Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience with SCADA/EMS and SCADA/DMS dispatching systems for large-scale power grids

  • Strong understanding of Smart Grid technologies and the digitalization of electricity networks

  • Experience working on international development or donor-funded projects (EDF, World Bank, etc.) is a plus

  • Proven track record in project implementation in Europe or international contexts

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French; Spanish is an advantage

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently for short-term international missions
