Project Manager - Naval Base Design
Location: Muscat, Oman
Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term (Local Contract)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Approx. 4,000 OMR/month (all-inclusive)

Note: This position is not suitable for relocation with family due to its short duration
About the Project:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take over an advanced-stage design project for a naval base intended to accommodate 2,000 personnel. The project is currently at the Tender Documents stage, and your role will be to oversee the successful completion of all design deliverables and prepare for the transition to the construction phase.
This vacancy arises due to the internal transfer of the current Project Manager, who will remain available to support a smooth handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the ongoing design of the naval base, ensuring timely delivery of all tender-stage documentation
Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and stakeholders involved in the project
Prepare for and support the selection process of contractors for the upcoming construction phase
Ensure adherence to project timelines, technical quality, and budgetary constraints
Engage with local authorities, clients, and partners as required
Apply FIDIC contract knowledge and contractual best practices throughout project execution
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in engineering and project management
Proven track record in managing the design of marine infrastructure and/or complex building projects
Experience in contractor selection for large-scale construction phases
Previous experience in the Middle East is advantageous but not essential if the candidate demonstrates strong English language skills
Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts and associated legal frameworks
