Team Leader - Irrigation Project (Karachi, Pakistan) - Institutional Strengthening

EWI is currently supporting the recruitment for a long-term, donor-funded irrigation and agricultural transformation project in Pakistan. The project aims to improve water resource management and agricultural productivity across selected Farmer Organization command areas.
Our client is delivering Technical Assistance as Project Management Consultants (PMC) and is now looking to appoint a Team Leader with international experience to be based full-time (or near full-time) in Karachi. This is a key leadership role within a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with government counterparts over the project duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the PMC team on the ground
- Liaise with project stakeholders and government entities
- Oversee the delivery of project components, ensuring alignment with donor requirements
- Manage project planning, budgeting, and reporting processes
Candidate Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, ideally in water-related infrastructure or irrigation projects
- Strong project management background, including leadership of multi-disciplinary teams
- Proven experience with MDB-funded projects (e.g., World Bank, ADB)
- Demonstrated international experience outside Pakistan
- Fluency in English
