Hydro Electrical Mechanical Expert - Pumped Storage Hydropower - Romania

My client is seeking a Hydro Electrical Mechanical Expert for a major Pumped Storage Hydropower Project in Romania. This is a great opportunity to contribute to one of Europe's key hydropower projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, contract documents, and quality standards
Supervise installation, erection, termination, and electromechanical testing of turbines, generators, and protection systems
Oversee all electrical testing, including generators (rotor & stator), transformers, circuit breakers, power cables, GIS, excitation systems, surge arresters, and more
Provide technical support and guidance to the project team
Prepare and review daily and monthly progress reports
Verify consignment documents for hydropower equipment at the site
Supervise dry and wet commissioning tests
Analyze electrical system requirements and develop system plans
Perform calculations for manufacturing, construction, and installation standards
Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electrical components
Inspect electronic equipment to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or repairs
Plan and develop technical modifications to enhance system performance
Operate computer-aided design and engineering software for system planning
Ensure installation and operations comply with customer requirements and industry standards

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Hydro-Electrical Engineering or a related field
15+ years of proven experience in hydropower plant design and construction
Strong background in electrical engineering for hydropower projects
Experience in both contracting and consultancy environments is desirable
Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, PLC, SCADA interface, MATLAB, and more

Salary Package:

Up to $10,000 USD per month

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a landmark Pumped Storage Hydropower Project in Europe.
