Hydraulic Structural Engineer - Hydropower - Romania

For major Pumped Storage Hydropower Project in Romania my client is Hydraulic Structural Engineer.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Experience in hydropower and pump hydropower storage projects, contributing to the design and construction supervision of hydraulic waterways, tunnels, shafts, and intake structures. Can provide 3D modelling, such as CFD on embankment dams and water intake structures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with all technical data for the project environmental monitoring during construction
Prepare hydraulic structural design reports, drawings, and specifications for water storage and embankment dams
Perform design reviews of hydraulic designs, surge analysis, transient analysis, and CFD simulation Studies using GIS and project catchment, etc.
Provide design and watershed modeling (1D & 2D) on projects involving stormwater management, floodplain analysis & compensation, stormwater conveyance and bridge hydraulics & scour evaluations
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams on Hydropower and Hydraulic Structures Projects Prepare civil/structural/and hydraulic drawings, specifications, feasibility studies, alternative analysis, and other reports
Condition and risk assessment and dam failure of the upper reservoir assets (embankment dam
Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details for upper reservoir, waterway, intake, flood control structures, and penstock
Conducting relevant studies and surface water modeling addressing all efficiency and safety or failure risks
Perform GIS modelling 3D for surface and ground water quantity and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
8+ years of experience performing design-related duties in hydraulic structures in Hydropower, Pump storage hydropower, Tunneling, and Dams.
Technical experience in dam design and evaluation Experience with ANSYS, SAP2000, and AutoCAD Civil3D
Experience in preparing design reports, drawings, and specifications

SALARY PACKAGE

Upto 10,000 USD Per Month
