Role Purpose / Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) market in Nigeria. In this role, you will lead the expansion of the C&I business, taking charge of lead generation, business development, client engagement, and customer asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Market Expansion: Take ownership of sales targets in Nigeria, creating competitive, comprehensive proposals for renewable energy solutions.
  • Project Origination & Feasibility: Identify and assess the viability of new renewable energy projects, managing risks and financial analysis with internal and external teams.
  • Client Management: Build strong, ongoing relationships with key clients, delivering technical presentations and personally overseeing critical sales engagements.
  • Strategic Development: Analyze market opportunities to enhance service offerings and establish new products in the C&I solar space.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage land acquisition, permitting, interconnection, and other project development activities while maintaining detailed project pipeline tracking.
  • Regulatory Relations: Develop and sustain strong partnerships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide direct reports, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Industry Experience: 5-10 years of technical sales experience in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energy and C&I solar solutions.
  • Sales & Management Expertise: Proven track record in B2B sales and managing sales teams in industrial or technical settings.
  • Financial Acumen: Familiarity with project financing, ROI calculations, and financial modeling in the renewable energy context.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional networking and client relationship skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth through large-scale solar projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering design, project structuring, and contract management.
