Position Summary
* Under the supervision of the VP of Operations, and other duties as necessary. The primary role is overseeing the successful execution of multiple construction projects by managing Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staff. This role requires extensive experience in construction project management, strategic leadership, and team development. The Project Director ensures project completion on time, within budget, and with high-quality standards, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive organizational goals and growth.

Essential Job Functions:
*
Direct and mentor Project Managers and Superintendents, setting expectations, defining goals, and providing performance feedback.
*
Assist the VP of Operations with business development opportunities as requested.
*
Act as a strategic leader in project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.
*
Review and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to address potential risks and implement mitigation plans.
*
Approve key project decisions, providing high-level guidance on technical, financial, and compliance-related issues.
*
Regularly assess project financials, coordinating with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
*
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in project delivery and team collaboration.
*
Oversee all stages of project life cycles, from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
*
Conduct regular risk assessments for ongoing projects, identifying areas of concern and proactively resolving issues.
*
Maintain strong client relationships, providing transparent project updates and addressing any concerns.
*
Serve as the company representative on all project related communication and decision making when working with owners, engineers, or other interested parties.

Manage for compliance with contract, budgets, schedule and company policy.

Qualifications:
*
Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
*
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple teams.
*
Skills: Proven leadership, strategic thinking, budget management, and effective communication skills.
*
Certifications: PMP, CCM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
* Work inside and outside in all weather conditions, and various locations and times of day. Hard hat, hearing and eye protection, Hi-visibility clothing required. Must have own transportation to and from jobsite.
Work Environment:
* The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job.
* Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
* Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
* Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.
