The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are looking for a Structure Supervisor to join a global leader in construction sector for one of Norway's technical infrastructure projects involving roads, tunnels, bridges, drill and blast works.

This is a great opportunity to work for a significant construction company, working alongside some of the most experienced specialists in the industry to continue developing and further you career.

Job Role / Responsibilities

  • Supervise a defined part of the construction site
  • Overseeing construction works (scaffolding, formworks, reinforcement, post-tensioning, concrete and finishing works), supervising subcontractors / own manpower and equipment
  • Drawing up activity plans in line with work schedule and contractual requirements.
  • Drawing up daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Monitoring progress and report it
  • Dimensioning resources (manpower, equipment, material) for performing the project activities in timely and quality manner.
  • Control of stocked materials and forecasting of orders
  • Follow up site daily requirements (survey request, inspection requests…)
  • Liaising with Technical department for any design deviation, drawings mismatch, design infeasibility…)
  • Liase with procurement, cost control, contract, HSE, permits departments to ensure the goals of the project are met.
  • Checking technical design and BIM model to ensure that they are followed correctly
  • Liaising with client representatives and QAQC inspectors for the ITP inspections
  • Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
  • Liaising with quantity surveyors for monthly progress and invoicing
  • Verification IPA submitted by the subcontractor
  • Verify and approve timesheets provided by the subcontractor
  • Assists the Sr. Engineer with organizatorial tasks.
  • Take care of personnel responsibilities for subordinate employees, including employee interviews
  • Ensure application of HSE rules related to own and subcontractor employees, with the goal of minimizing risks.
  • Focus on, and facilitate good relations with the project partners.

Project

The infrastructure project is based on the West Coast of Norway and consist of the construction of several tunnels, bridges and highways, the construction has already started and is estimated to last for at least 3 more years.

Requirements

  • >8 years in the construction - large-scale infrastructure projects (concrete works)
  • Knowledge of concrete works and construction
  • Technical Degree (Engineering / Civil / or equivalent)
  • Norwegian concrete works supervision U3 License
  • Experience in Scandinavia projects
