Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Energy Storage)

Location: England, London (Hybrid)

Start: Asap

Overview:

In this role, you will work on high-voltage design projects, primarily for renewable generation and energy storage, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Projects will involve design, feasibility studies, and grid connections, with a focus on systems ranging from 11kV to 400kV. You will collaborate with developers and internal teams to deliver solutions for projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage energy storage systems, grid connections, and controls.
  • Work on renewable generation projects (e.g., wind, solar, hydro).
  • Lead Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design for energy storage and grid connection.
  • Assist with project management, including budget and quality oversight.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients on large-scale renewable energy projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience in electrical design, particularly with energy storage systems.
  • Knowledge of renewable generation technologies and grid connection standards.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage systems, control, and protection.
  • Strong team collaboration and client-facing skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with multi-discipline engineering and site construction.
  • Familiarity with grid connection considerations for energy storage
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
