Job Title: Risk Manager - Metro/Rail Project

EWI are supporting a leading European consultancy firm who are seeking an experienced Risk Manager with a strong background in managing project risks for large-scale metro and railway infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in project risk management, with a focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout the lifecycle of complex transport projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall risk management process for the metro/rail project in Tel Aviv, ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed, and mitigated.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy for the project, including the preparation and maintenance of risk registers, risk mitigation plans, and contingency strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify potential risks and establish appropriate risk management actions.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
- Provide regular risk reports to senior management, offering updates on risk status, potential impacts, and mitigation measures.
- Facilitate risk workshops and meetings with the project team to ensure that all risks are addressed and well understood by all stakeholders.
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and adjust them as necessary to address emerging issues.
- Manage and track the implementation of risk management tools and techniques across the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that risk management activities are fully integrated with other project management processes, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in project risk management, with at least 5 years working on large-scale metro/railway infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience in project risk management techniques, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary teams and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience with risk management software and tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, RiskWatch).
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in risk management for metro/rail projects specifically in the Middle East or international markets.
- Proficiency in English
