Control Systems Engineer - Hydropower - Australia (Siemens PCS7 or Rockwell Studio 5000)
Are you ready to power the future of renewable energy? Join us as an Engineer for Hydro Power Control Systems and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge control systems for hydro power plants.
Your Responsibilities:
- Technical implementation of hydro power plant control systems using Siemens and Rockwell controller platforms.
- Develop system concepts based on project specifications and customer requirements.
- Lead hardware and software engineering throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Plan communication and network systems (e.g., IEC, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, EtherNet/IP) with a focus on cyber security.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Create and manage technical documentation, including signal lists, design reports, and as-built documentation.
- Perform on-site commissioning of control systems worldwide.
What You Bring:
- A degree in Electrical, Automation, or Information Technology Engineering. Alternatively, Technician-level education with relevant professional experience.
- Experience in control systems (Siemens PCS7 or Rockwell Studio 5000) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Fluent English (spoken and written); knowledge of German or additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel globally for regular business trips and on-site deployments.
- Strong analytical skills, results-oriented mindset, and excellent teamwork capabilities.
- Intercultural experience and the ability to adapt in diverse environments are advantageous.
